We Remember: We SERVE

September 12, 2011

We remember! We serve! Nosotros recordamos! Nosotros Servimos!

September 11, 2001 – 911 – is a sad reflection on a network of fanatics whose ideas, initiatives and inspirations were so unpromising, unattractive and unacceptable anywhere that they performed acts of anti-social, irreligious destructive behavior on innocent, vulnerable and thrusting people one day: 911.

911 is glad reflection on people who were being all that they could be from all over the world productive in New York City from various countries, cultures, religions, professions in America on 911. They were working, learning, playing, conversing, praying and advancing meaningful, attractive, accountable, responsible, fearless and promising lives that day.

We remember. We serve. Nosotros recordamos! Nosotros Servimos!

Today we are gathered to exemplify UNITY in COMMUNITY, global leadership and compassion that has roots in this park and neighborhood and takes wings for a watching USA and world through this service project. We have not been deterred, distracted nor disheartened by a band of terrorists on a destructive and dismal day of tragedy and trauma – too often experienced frequently in many other countries in the world. We have been strengthened, rededicated and choose to empower and inspire ourselves to build community through unity in the USA where on a good day we choose to be a beacon of hope, a model of inclusive democracy and a channel of peace to each other and others –sisters and brothers - around our shared planet.

We remember. We serve. Nosotros recordamos! Nosotros Servimos!

We rejoice, serve and engage to enlighten and enrich others and our community as exemplary people do and deserve.

In Service,
