Message from Janna Gullery, SFP's new International Program Director
August 25, 2011I have the most special honor of introducing myself as the new International Program Director for Service For Peace. Many of you know me personally and those who do probably know me for my work in Latin America and the Caribbean.
I am thrilled to serve in this new role and will be working not only with our Latin America and Caribbean staff and communities of peace, but also with those from Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and all over the world.
I'll be expanding my responsibilities to include volunteer outreach, intern and volunteer supervision, program standard development, staff capacity building, and much more.
As I embark on this new journey, I can't help but think about all of your faces. It is truly because of your smiles, your hard work, your inspiration, and your friendship that I have the profound pleasure of doing more than just a job, as it is also my personal mission.
It is your honesty, your loyalty, your dedication, your wisdom and your company that keep me motivated, on my toes, and excited for the future. I thank you, alumni and friends, for your dedication not only to Service For Peace but to making our world a better place.
You have all made the choice to be active global citizens, and for that, I take my hat off.
As I continue my role, I welcome your suggestions, comments, and even criticisms. Your feedback is most valued. I can be reached any time at jgullery @ serviceforpeace.org, and feel free to find me on Facebook if you havn't already.
I wish you luck on all of your endeavors and I hope to see you all again soon!
Janna Gullery
