SFP Finds Support among Social EntrepreneursFebruary 26, 2010Service For Peace is proud to announce its new partnership with Aceneth, a social entrepreneurship enterprise that specializes in high-quality multi-media services. Service For Peace and Aceneth, along with dozens of other organizations, partnered up to coordinate our recent Global PeaceMakers program in Brazil in December, 2009. Because of such exciting new partnerships with Aceneth, Gibson Instruments, We Stand Brasilia and many others, we were able to repair a multipurpose community center in the marginalized community of Alagado da Suzana. We built a community library with newly-stocked shelves, repaired a local home, constructed an internet center, and even mobilized local musicians to volunteer over the next year to give free guitar lessons to the children of the community. The best part is, Aceneth was able to get the whole experience on film with their Flip cameras, so be on the lookout for our documentary—and for more news about our partnership in preparation for the upcoming
Global PeaceMakers program in the Dominican Republic!
